Windy Knob Residences
Like many historical pieces of property, Windy Knob has evolved as its owners' needs have grown. The principle residence was built from bricks made on site in 1810 after the original homestead, located across the street, was destroyed in a fire. The Caretaker's home was built in the early 1900s to accommodate a full-time caretaker when the property was acquired by Former Governor and U.S. Secretary of State Christian Herder. Later, an additional caretaker residence was added, and the current owners use this property as an office.

Equestrian Facilities
Prior owners were actively involved in the breeding of quality racehorses. As a result, the paddocks offer secure shelter and extensive pastures for growing equines. The five stall barn includes a wash stall, four run out stalls to secure paddocks, and two large run in shelters. The historic barn/squash court includes a weight room, tack room, extensive hay and shavings storage, as well as a Jacuzzi area and basketball court.

Nature & Wildlife
With miles of trails for riding ATVs, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, or just serene walks, the pristine conservation lands offer the fisherman, ice skater, hiker, and nature enthusiast endless possibilities.
